- أمراض عارضة مثل الالتهابات العارضة.
- التهابات مزمنة.

- أورام غير حميدة.
- أمراض وظيفية – وهو ما يسمى بالقولون العصبى.
الأعراض:
- قد تكون بعض هذه الأمراض صامتة أى بدون أعراض.
- إسهال أو إمساك.
- خروج مخاط فى البراز.
- خروج دم فى البراز – فى أى شكل من الأشكال.
- ضعف أو هزال أو فقد وزن.
- الإحساس بتورم أو إنتفاخ فى البطن.
ينبغى التأكيد على الحقائق التالية:
- هذه الأعراض قد تتداخل بشكل كبير وقد تكون غامضة أو غير واضحة أو محددة.
- لا ينبغى أبداً التقاعس عند رؤية هذه الأعراض بل ينبغى استشارة الجراح المختص فوراً وبدون تأخير.
- تشخيص ما يسمى بالقولون العصبى لا يتم إلا بعد فحص وتمحيص كاملين من قبل الجراح المختص.
قرار التعامل مع هذه الأعراض يقرره الجراح المختص حيث يقرر ما إذا كان المريض يحتاج إلى منظار على القولون.
